Stocky shuts down August 31, 2026

Migrate from Stocky to Skucast in 5 minutes.

Stocky's been wound down since July 2025 — first transfers, then forecasting, now the whole app. Skucast preserves your purchase order history, suppliers, and lead times. Real demand forecasting included. Built by Shopify dealers who outgrew Stocky.

Pricing: lower cost, fewer strings.

Stocky bundled with Shopify POS Pro at $89/mo. Skucast standalone at $99/mo. But — Stocky migrants get 50% off for 90 days.

What the importer actually moves.

Some Stocky data carries over directly. Some gets reconstructed (suppliers). Some is recomputed from your Shopify sales (forecasts).

Imported directly

  • Purchase orders — every PO, every line item, with status, dates, costs, supplier name preserved
  • Vendor lead times — if exported as a separate CSV
  • Suppliers — auto-derived from your PO data (Stocky doesn't let you CSV-export suppliers, but the importer reconstructs them)
  • PO notes & audit context — preserved in activity log
The importer groups multi-line PO rows into single PO records, normalizes status (Stocky's partially_received → Skucast's partial), and reconciles suppliers by name — even if your CSV doesn't have explicit supplier records.

Re-derived (not imported)

  • Demand forecasts — Skucast computes its own from Shopify sales history (more accurate than re-using stale Stocky forecasts)
  • SKU classifications — auto-assigned by Skucast on first run
  • Stocktakes — Stocky-specific format; current inventory comes live from Shopify
  • Stock transfers — Stocky removed this in July 2025 anyway
  • Reorder points — recalculated by Skucast using your real lead times + service-level setting
Re-deriving is a feature, not a bug — Stocky's forecasts assumed naive velocity. Skucast's classification + Croston's method produces better numbers from day one.

The 5-step migration.

Side-by-side, no panic. Run both for as long as you like.

1

30-day free trial at skucast.app. No credit card. Install via Shopify App Store, OAuth in 30 seconds.

2

Export Stocky CSV

In Stocky → Reports → Purchase Orders → Export. Save the CSV.

3

Drag into Skucast

app.skucast.app/import — drop the CSV, columns auto-map, dry-run preview shows exactly what'll be created.

4

Validate side-by-side

Run Skucast and Stocky in parallel for a week. Cross-check forecasts, lead times, reorder recommendations.

5

Cancel Stocky

Once you've validated Skucast is working, stop using Stocky. It'll sunset itself on August 31.

Migration FAQ.

The questions every Stocky user asks before they pull the trigger.

Will my data really import in 5 minutes?
Yes — for the actual file upload + commit. The slow part is Stocky's export (it can take a few minutes for stores with thousands of POs). Once you have the CSV, dragging it into Skucast and committing takes under 2 minutes for typical merchant sizes (1,000-10,000 POs).
What if my Stocky export uses different column names?
The importer auto-detects 30+ common column-name variants ("Purchase Order", "PO Number", "Order #", "PO", etc. all map to the same field). If a column isn't auto-detected, you can manually map it via dropdown in the importer UI before committing.
Can I run Skucast and Stocky at the same time?
Absolutely — and we recommend it. Skucast reads from Shopify directly (not from Stocky), so they don't conflict. Run both for a week or two until you're confident Skucast covers your workflows. Then stop using Stocky.
What if I have stocktakes / mobile scanning today?
Those are on the Skucast roadmap (multi-location and mobile scan are M3+ features). If your business depends on these, the honest answer is to wait or evaluate alongside other Stocky alternatives. For everything else (forecasting, POs, suppliers, drop-ship), Skucast already exceeds Stocky.
Is the STOCKY2026 promo time-limited?
It's available through Aug 31, 2026 (the Stocky shutdown date). The 50% discount applies to your first 90 days on Skucast Parts ($49.50/mo instead of $99/mo). After 90 days, you transition to standard pricing automatically.
What happens to my historical PO costs / vendor relationships?
All preserved. Every line item's unit cost, every PO's supplier, the dates, the status — all carry over. Skucast's forecasting then uses this PO history to compute lead times automatically. Your vendor relationships in Skucast pick up exactly where they left off in Stocky.
Who do I email if I get stuck?
hello@skucast.app — direct line to the team. Migration support is included free with all plans during the Stocky transition window. We'll personally verify your import looks correct.
